Brief Description: LACQUA23 will be the 2023 annual meeting of the WAS Latin America and Caribbean Chapter. Following previous successful LACQUA meetings, LACQUA23 will once again bring international attention to the aquaculture industry in Panama and Latin America. LACQUA23 will take place in Panama City, the capital of Panama. Panama is a cosmopolitan, dynamic city, where the modern and the traditional come together to create a happy and relaxed atmosphere. Panama’s aquaculture sector (fish and shrimp together) is one of the country’s main export items. The most farmed species in Panama are fish (tilapia, cobia, pompano) and shrimp.
