Under the slogan “Youth 20.30”, the 8th edition of the project ‘Create and Recycle’ aims to train and raise awareness among vocational training students and universities in the Canary Islands in the field of circular economy, ecodesign and sustainability. The initiative, framed within the 2030 Agenda, is developed by Ecoembes, the non-profit environmental organization that cares for the environment, and the Fundación Canarias Recicla, and has the support of the Universities of La Laguna and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), as well as the collaboration of ASINCA and the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against climate change and Territorial Planning of the Government of the Canary Islands, framed within the Circular Canary Islands Plan.

In its 8th edition, the ‘Create and Recycle’ project follows in the footsteps of its previous edition after the good results obtained, and incorporates actions that deepen knowledge about ecodesign, the prevention of waste generation and its correct management, the circular economy, sustainability and all those strategies aimed at achieving better and greater training in environmental matters for future professionals.

In this edition, the researcher of the ISLANDAP ADVANCED project, Dr. Carmen Florido, participates with a presentation on Circular Economy and Tourism: evidence in two mature destinations (10:10-10:20)
